What to do on Nusa Penida: The Best Stops!
We went on a two-day trip with a private driver across the island of Nusa Penida. We made some stops at the most famous places on the island. Certainly busy, but also definitely worth a visit. In this article you will find everything about what to do on Nusa Penida!

Accommodation on Nusa Penida
We booked a cozy chalet near the harbor of Nusa Penida: Jinga Home. For little money you get a complete house, with private bathroom and a fantastic host! Through our host we also booked the tours with private driver to explore the rest of the island!

The Best Stops on Nusa Penida
1. Pandan Beach
We start right away with a hidden beach that is a bit further away than Crystal Bay. We visited the latter, Crystal Bay, during our tour and then took the path along the coast to Pandan Beach. There are only a few people here, so you practically have the beach to yourself! Really recommended to take the hike from Crystal Bay.

2. Broken Beach
This beach is beautiful to see, but that’s about it. You can’t even get to the beach itself. It can only be viewed from above the cliff. Nevertheless, the view is amazing! The water is beautifully blue and crystal clear.

3. Angel’s Billabong
On the corner of Broken Beach is Angel’s Billabong. It looks more like a natural swimming pool right next to the sea. When we visited Angel’s Billabong, there was no one in the water. This also seems very dangerous because the waves of the sea create a strong current!
4. Kelingking Beach
One of the highlights of Nusa Penida is Kelingking Beach. Very touristy, but really beautiful to have seen once. If you, like us, are not afraid of a bit of adventure and a tough walk, then we also recommend walking to the beach itself. The path is steep, narrow and busy, but then you have something!

5. Thousand Islands Viewpoint
From the parking lot it is still a short walk to the viewpoint. To enter this area, you have to pay a small entrance fee. In our opinion, it is not worth it in the end. During the walk you will again pass various photo points (extra entrance required) with a view of the sea.
6. Diamond Beach
To get to Diamond Beach, you have to pay an entrance fee. You can then go to Diamond Beach and Atuh Beach. We thought Diamond Beach was beautiful to see from above, but would definitely recommend taking the walk down. The path is clearly marked, but a bit steep and narrow in some parts. You also need a rope to hold on to halfway. Doesn’t this sound like something you would like? Be aware the water is dangerous to swim due to the strong currents.

7. Atuh Beach
Atuh Beach is, in contrast to Diamond Beach, a beach where you can swim much easier. It is within walking distance of Diamond Beach (no extra entrance fee required) so you can combine both beaches well. To get there, you have to go down a steep path with stairs, however this walk is much easier.

After Nusa Penida?
After Nusa Penida we headed back to Bali. Here we stayed a few more days in Seminyak. You could also travel to Ubud!
